The four steps
These are the Four Steps developed and used on the WorkLife Architect programme.
They are based on the Law of Attraction and derived from the book Excuse Me, My Life
is Waiting by Lynne Grabhorn.

Step 1: Know what you don't want
We live in a world where many people focus on and put up with things they do NOT want - often
without even really noticing. These "Don't Wants" can be pervasive and influence us
in a negative way. We will learn how to start identifying them. When we know we have a
"Don't Want" we then have a choice to change it if it is not serving us.
Step 2: Know what you do want
It is important to be clear about what you DO want. If you do not know what you want it is not
easy to achieve it. It is like getting in a taxi and telling the driver that you do not know
where you want to go. Where would you end up? When we are clear about what we want we are much
more likely to make it happen. We will give you an opportunity to start thinking this through.

Step 3: Know what it feels like
Knowing intellectually what we want is not as powerful as being able to really step into it and
experience what it would feel like to have it. Imagine wanting to appear relaxed and confident
at an interview. The person who is likely to perform better is the one who can step into being
relaxed and confident like an actor stepping into the role. We will give you some tools and
techniques to help you do this.
Step 4: Know it will happen
It is no good being able to step into a role and act the part if you do not think it is really
possible to achieve it - that will adversely affect your performance. Telephone sales training,
for example, is based on this principle - the ones who are most successful are the ones who
believe they will get a sale when they pick up the phone. This principle applies to anything
you want to achieve. It does not mean you will always get what you want - but it will improve
your chances of success.
